Holding

Holding

A Poem by Cassidy Mask

It started simply.

(Shell in hand)

And grew.

Soon we were

Obsessive. Compulsive.

Addicted.

Holding felt good

It felt safe

It felt…

                Exciting

Holding

Felt less like a lie

So we closed our eyes,

Held on tight.

And let the sea

Swallow our secrets.
