Whispered Snow

Whispered Snow

A Poem by Cassidy Mask

Like so many

I was looking for answers

And a way to escape.

I thought             (I still think)

That perhaps

If I could just get

Back to that place

Everything would be okay.

But it was just a dream

And everything was different.

I scratched at my eyes

Desperate to see,

I cried, screaming

Asking what had changed.

And he whispered:

‘Snow’.
