Guess What. (I'm A Hypocrite)

Guess What. (I'm A Hypocrite)

A Poem by Cassidy Mask
"

Inspired by college, life and a checklist written on my wrist.

"

Guess what

I don’t care if I’m a slob

Or if I’m offensive

Or if I scream f**k

When you piss me off

And it’s not my fault

That I’ve got a

One track mind

Leading me straight to hell,

Or that I cry when

You attack me.

I’m just a child after all.

So don’t blame me

When you see the fine print

Etched in my skin

The words that tell you

I’m a lot more broken

Than I should be.

Blame this day and age.

Or blame the princes

And priests, who’ve broken

My hands. My grasp

On collective reality.

It’s not my fault

That I’ve given up on

Making sense.

That I’ve given up on

Being the good guy girl.

After all, you won’t find

Mercy under the sun,

So why waste my time

F*****g with answers

I’ll never find.

And if you’re reading this.

You who I love and hate the most.

(Does my language shock you?)

Do you think you could

Try a little harder to

Not be a hypocrite?

Because I’m just a child

And you’re setting

A f*****g bad example.
