Monarchical Episcopate

Monarchical Episcopate

A Poem by Cassidy Mask
"

title is misleading.. this has nothing to do with bishops..

"

You’ve taught me how

To think. And breathe.

How to be selfish and good.

To live for me and listen

To others. To hear what I

Want to and what I need to.

I sit and weep and

Laugh for what I have and

What I fear. And I pray

Because you taught that too.

I pray for help, for the

Strength to be alone, and

Believe what I believe.

I pray for rain. And that I

Won’t miss my bus.

You taught me the truth

About the ninety-five theses

And listened to my

Stumbling conclusions.

Yet we are strangers and

I only wish you knew

How in the dark I draw triangles

And write letters to the stars

How my dreams

Are as real as my wakings.

you are brilliant. reading this made me realise how much i've missed reading your work and i'm going to be reading so much more. I love this, I love the little piece of slight randomness that pops up 'and that I won't miss my bus'. It makes you see a slight glimpse of what's normal and something that's lighter in the whole darkness of the poem. i don't think that made ANY sense, never mind. you get me. I LOVE IT (and you)

Love this. Soo beautiful and tragic, I love this verse;

I pray for help, for the
Strength to be alone, and
Believe what I believe.
I pray for rain. And that I
Won’t miss my bus.

and those last two lines..love it xx
