A Poem by claricestarling

"There is a woman in the clock" she said.
Locked behind the glass.
She had two children behind the hand
That tick away the past.
I told her there was nothing there,
There simply was no space.
The old woman cried tears of shame
In a nightgown made of lace.
She told me to look again,
and to not just simply see.
But feel the pain inside the clock,
and understand her needs.
I looked beyond her troubled eyes,
As she trembled in her bed.
I understood the fear she felt,
From the things inside her head.
