I miss the warmth

I miss the warmth

A Poem by Pengem

my first time with someone
had left me cold
I remember it all, as if it was an ache in my shoulder
the unfairness that my first time wasn't with someone that loved me
do I love him though?
no, I dont
but I loved that moment of him
where he would stare at me
and run his hands along my skin
I loved that warmth
even if my chest tightened every time
I saw him and thought about him afterwards
it was bittersweet

but waiting for him
to come back to me
never meant anything to him
and showed that it was never meant to be

Not too bad. A decent young adult themed poem. The final stanza is an interesting way to consider if someone is worth loving, but I would say it's probably not an emotionally healthy way.

On the last line you forgot the word "was" between "it and "never".
