Still

Still

A Poem by clouddee

As I walk, I can't pull my heel;
Resistance is what I feel.
My heart's still here,
But why doesn't it heal?

Do you ever wonder
Why I still hold
The light you shattered;
Begging to begin
The end you smeared?

Why doesn't my heart feel?
Am I that stone cold now?
Deep, is a soft-cored soul.
Digging deeper, it's torn.

Can't sway, I deal.
Can't fly, I kneel.
Sigh in the wind,
Whirled in time: I fear.

Hidden, dark, I glimpsed
As I took the path.
Still, I wait for a wrap.
Crushing words, unlocked.
