THE ROCK

It's about extraordinary determination and dedicated to my friend Yvonne...

The rock is solid, the rock is strong, it’s strength last forever long..

 

The rock is a woman whose family she keeps, holding it together to keep the peace..

 

She stands tall as a mountain with a river that runs deep, she calls it love given freely without any left to keep..

 

The Rock tends to loose footing, when other ones do their brooding..

 

The rock needs a shoulder, to comfort her and to hold her..

 

For the rock can be any one you see, but the rock also needs love to weather the stormy sea..

I think you might want to edit from "whom" to "whose" in the second line. I like the theme and metaphor of comparing a rock to the love of a person, the strong type of love. Though what type of love is not strong? I suppose all love is like a rock like this and rock love must be reciprocated...let's all display this type of rock love as here in this poem!
