Hints

A Poem by coin

I don't know everything,
But I know some things. I know when a woman looks at my face
And sees her lover.
Checking the corners and creases around my mouth
Faster than her brain is aware

Occasionally I'll get a hint of attraction from an online profile
Someone who knows someone I know.
The thread starts and start to follow it
Tugging at the tension
checking my line for a bite

I trust my instincts, they're usually right :)

We'll typically meet for coffee,
I'm interviewed and I play along well enough.
I like the fish to know I've got some fight in me
There's something on the other end of that line

9 times out of 10 though it's catch and release.
I just want to know I could take her if I want to
I just want to know she wants me to
Approach, and avoid
Classic moves, hard to quit.

I spend considerable time surveying the possibilities
you'd think by now I'd have the game down
but I don't even know what it is I want
Do I need to?
