How Do we Do

How Do we Do

A Poem by coin

How we do anything is how we do Everything

So sometimes I hide.

The trouble starts when I try to act from where I'm not, and it has to resolve one way or the other

"Start from where you are, right now"

it's always the same.

I write these reminders for myself as much as you because

I can't teach what I haven't learned

and it's a dirty, dirty trick that says we're not enough as we are.

a poet once said "What matters most is how well you walk through the fire"

but The House has been ablaze for years.

We've adopted a queer strategy of changing rooms when it gets too hot

Keeping covered contracts on that itch we never scratch

always vaguely aware -

we build our house on shifting sands
