My World

My World

A Poem by CKniesly17

You are my life, you are my everything.

You are the melody, the harmony, in every song I sing.

You change the dark to light, you brighten up my day.

You make my life complete, my world go round, in every way.

Your gentle laugh, your childish ways.

You turned a man like me, gave me faith, taught me to pray.

You keep the chair below me, when i'm hanging high.

You don't know this yet, but you choose, if I live or die.

You're every thought I think, you're everything I see,

You're every flashback, every playback, every memory.

You got mad at me, you gave up today,

Are you aware, I had my car at 90, on the interstate?

With the end in mind, the pedal on the floor,

I couldn't take it, couldn't get through it, anymore.

I was looking for a car, a pole, a tree,

Because when there's no you, why should there be me?

But I slowed it down, took a look around,

Would you even care if I was six feet underground?

One day you'll see that I loved you with all my might,

But one day just might be my final night.

Because there's no longer a reason to stay on this earth,

So somebody tell me, what's this life really worth?
