Waiting in the Shadows

The poem tells it all :)

I don't know why you're with him,

You're constantly upset.

I gaurantee one day with me would make it fine I bet.

I see you in the hallways,

And always catch your eye.

But he's the hand your holding, no matter how hard I try.

I text you in the mornings,

when the sun is rising up.

I put a smile on your face as soon as you wake up.

We talk all day, we talk all night,

And you tell me everything.

You tell me that you want to cry and don't know what to think.

Well listen close, give this a try,

just close both of those pretty eyes,

Picture yourself wrapped in my arms, just promise me you'll try.

I'll whisper very softly,

I'll hold you by the arm.

And promise you in my embrace, you never will feel harm.

I'd take a bullet for you,

I'd push you off the track.

But every day despite this, you just go running back.

He tells me to be careful,

He tells me he would fight.

But honestly, does he know, that it's my face you dream of at night.

So hear me out as I tell you,

I'll be waiting for your call.

When you leave him, i'll be waiting. I'll never let you fall.
