gonna' fly away

gonna' fly away

A Poem by jamie mae

i want to take a perilously
    imaginative
        adventure:
anywhere with anyone.

forge cirrostratus clouds over the dawn we create:
and there is peace waiting -
only. moments. away.
as we crush and string for a private theatrical work:
we will turn shadows into dancing puppets.
come back down, to make those deals,
just before the late bell rings:
and we all come out of it -
happy. and. light.
silly jokes and words of purely narcotized wisdom:
floating through the air on threads of hazy breath.
we shall fashion hemp bracelets to hide our pasts,
while we crowd together:
trying in intensity to forget all of our insecurities.
even though underneath the hope and love:
    we know,
        they know,
i know,
but we play it off well.

i am nothing like i used to be.

Good, it could be more imaginative, but it was very colorful
