world of DEXTRO

world of DEXTRO

A Poem by jamie mae

such destruction flowing from an oh so small drug.
one pill of an amphetamine boss leaves me stunned,
as peace evades me, like a glitch in the game,
and with a swing of my now damaged sword, imagination is parried.
every moment, filled to the brim of this helm, with flushed chaos.
words become tangible while monsters creep onto the path,
and my head opens up to spill them all out.
screaming, but no one appears to take notice,
not even as warring factions pass me by, in epic proportions.
i stand, free for the taking; unarmed and unadorned.
whelps and vultures welcomed to pick me apart;
destroy and dismantle me, without a buff or heal to save me.
i am crushed to dust, sent to the graveyard, with one critical strike.
and i shriek to the gods, those unknown tech-heads,
“i just wish to be fixed, with this terrible problem in elimination,”
only Blizzard is not there to shut me down and patch me up.
