Psalm

A Poem by Jake Mancini
"

Song lyrics for Ariel, Ariel

"

Heal me God, my bark is rotten and dry,

These wretched roots and stiff limbs

Silence my crying out to you in the wind

Send me the rains, Father!

Send me the rushing waters!

Send me the winds, a gentle breeze

for when your breathe

fertile seeds are spread

Oh, how I long to be a seed

a fruit birthed in a mold

only to be set free

by the lips of a love who sleeps

Father set me free!

You separate the fruit from the rhine

Find in me the bitter fruits and dying vines

and pour from my heart the sweetest of wines.

Wow.
I felt God when I read that. I felt the desperate need for Him to heal the dry roots. The desperate need for even a drop of His life giving water.
I'd quote a part that I like, but I like all of it...everything.

Jacob, this is beautiful. It really moved me beyond words...
