Walk That Line

Walk That Line

A Poem by Conrad Wrobel
"

My first attempt at spoken word...

"

Let me out of this cardboard prison,
It's forbidden,
And though I may be smitten,
The chance of escape is too great to procrastinate.
So discriminate the hate
And open the gate
To your mind…

I may run out of time,
So bind your weapon,
Steady souls a steppin',
Don't be reppin',
Just keep the right rhyme rippin'
At the same time
As my feet
Glide…

It's justice time,
Though I may be blind,
My soul steps to the same beat as mine,
And guides my nine-
millimeter bullet through thyne.

Sparks fly,
Times nigh.
I see my last lie
Cross my lips
And provoke:
Incompletely universal,
My own personal,
Completely controversial,
Deliverance.
