Goth girl, gross girl, geeky girl, gauche girl
Standing in the light those pretty people
Pursue for their perfectly posed portraits
Face at once a display of adamance and apathy
Attested by arched brow and languid smirk
Note fists at each side, knuckles bone white
Addled by Abercrombie ad model aspirates,who
Avidly covetous of fake photo shoot smiles
Would swiftly swear covenant to sin itself
Bad seed, she's labeled, but what are they?

I like what this "exercise" brought out in this work. It reads like an open mystery, like a years-long experiment. It's been a while since I visited this site, but I have always been interested in your work, the long, quiet epic unraveling like petals. You write with purpose, and I am envious.

An intelligent and well writeen poem. To me this society has just become so oversaturated and simulcrated that people have lost all sense of their humanity and maybe even their sense of reality as well. Most people these days are just like bad actors playing roles that have already been played. Rather than individuality they try to live up to labels.

Theat may not be what you were trying to express but that's what I got out of it. I thouroughly enjoyed this peice and what the hell i think i'll put it in my favorites:)

I like how you point out that "we" as society put so much effaces on beauty and not brains or creativity. It is sad that the unpopular girl is the bad seed when the beautiful people are doing the same things if not worse.
