A Conversation with Time

A Conversation with Time

A Poem by contr0l
"

Time, why must you fly?

"
A conversation with Time.

Time, why must you fly?

You speed by so fast, leaving all in your wake.
A paradoxical magnet, pushing apart while pulling together, like fate.

You are counted on, reliable, tried and tested as true.
Why you can never come back is theoretically skewed.

You play tricks with our minds, illusions, mortality.
Confusion, solutions, you intrude our reality.

Understanding your existence, an impossible mystery.
Figments of imaginations, never imagined in history.

You are blamed for everything, our scapegoat of life.
"Ah... I must've slept in, my my how time flies."

You're the most wished for thing, to ever be wished.
More of you to spend with family and passed loved ones you've missed.

You have always been, and you will always be.
A temporal dimension for all and none to see

Flowing forwards and backwards, expectations and memories.
How much of you must pass, before you wont remember me?

Time, why must you fly?
