Free flowing

Free flowing

A Poem by Jada Johnson

happiness feels like its

miles away.

despair,

forever wondering

who will be there.

is it too much to ask for?

so genuine,  so pure.

a young poet,

trying to make a difference

in this world.

art is my cure,

I’ll never detour.

compelled to save my soul,

forever woke.

vulnerability,

the people seem to be lacking.

I am me,

so it hurts when I have to mask it.

who are you?

too impatient to figure out

what makes you, you.

I'm tired,

and still got a whole lot of s**t to do.

lets just cut ties,

why should I wait around for you?

god replaces and removes.

I’ll hold myself down,

different day, same views.

I'm supposed to be treasured and loved,

heaven-sent from above.

until my king arrives,

I'm sick of love.

I’ll run my course,

and do what I do best.

what more is there to express?

this was such a release,

praying

I’ll be at peace.

Life is always teaching us.
"I'm sick of love.
I’ll run my course,
and do what I do best.
What more is there to express?
This was such a release,
praying
I’ll be at peace."
I understand the above lines. All of us hope for a safe and sound landing. Thank you Jada for sharing your amazing words and thoughts.
