Looking Through My Eyes

Looking Through My Eyes

A Poem by Ashley
"

People act like they know me so well, when they don't. They say they understand what I've been through. They don't know what what it's like to live in fear and confusion. So look through my eyes.

"
I've seen the sorrow
I've seen the tears
I've seen the light almost appear

I've seen the dark
I've seen the fear
I've seen the anger bubbling near

I've seen the spark of joy
I've seen a shot of confidence
I've seen the paranoia flush away the rest

You can beat me
You can leave me bruised
You can put a knife in my back
But you'll always lose

I've been down under
I've pushed to the top
I'm an outcast to you
it's not a shock

I've seen the unimaginable
I've seen myself suffocate
I've seen my mom in tears
and i just wait

I've seen the punches
I've seen the smoke
I've soon people look at me like I'm a joke

You think in different
You think I'm weak
But I'm stronger than you
Don't you think?

I've put so much thought
On how you would approve
But SCREW YOU!
I've started new!
