I'm Gonna Be Mad

I've been so much different junk that didn't help me any, so I'm taking this afternoon to just be mad.

I've been happy,
I've been depressed,
I've been irritated,
I've been mature.
None of that worked.
It's time for me to try something new.
I'm just gonna be mad.
For this afternoon on this day in this office
I'll just be mad like never before.
Only to myself, of course.
This is a place of business, after all.
But, hidden away by these walls
and shoving my nose in a computer screen,
I'm gonna be mad.
I'll be mad at everybody that I should have been mad at before.
Trust me, there's been plenty for me to be mad about,
and I'm just gonna let it out.
I learned the other day that you have to grieve sometime,
well, you gotta be furious sometimes too.
