A Poem by Britanie

i am plagued with memories
of past lovers and their
promises
which buzz in my ear
as loud as a dozen hungry bees
& i can still taste their lips
when i touch yours.
no amount of time can erase
their trace,
everything but you is foreign to my body
but my heart remembers all else.
