I AM

Death has scarred me.

His death for me.
Can the emotion save me ?

I am

Alive.

Alive  has scarred me.
He lives for me.
Can the emotion save me ?

I am

Wounded.

I walk ,sing my own song.
Knowing, to know, their path, I hurt.

The loss Alive in their lives.

We feel your pain.
I am.

death constantly scars us when we lose those we love...and sometimes we wonder, why do we live and they don't...but then we are grateful to still be here, even with the heartaches, even with the sorrow we hold in memory of those who go before us.

The stop and start rhythms of this poem, added profoundly, to the moving nature of its sacred subject. It has left me pondering, the role of those of us left behind: the caressing of memory, the burdens of things unsaid, unrequited love & loves, and just ... death.
What would we do with the empty spaces in our souls if we were not allowed to remember?
It really is, the only reason I write.

thank you Diego, i've looked at Courts painting a lot moved it around the house, wall to wall, space to space, Jesus said "I am" I ponder that statement a lot, move it around the n*****s in my head, well any way I sat down and wrote. thank you again.

To live is to feel both joy and pain. The pain often seems to leave its aura around longer. And all the while death courts us until our final breath. I would choose not to be scarred but my scars let me know I have lived and because of them I value life more than had I been untouched. A very visceral and moving poem by you.

pain the balance is not teeter- totter, flat. three D we crack our own egg.I hope to survive the ? "Reset" how to survive the division ? a good daily introspection for me helps.

profoundly inspiring to look inside .. i take "His death.." to be the death of death and "Alive.." lives for me .. etc. (probably way off) ;) "I Am" the state of no mind .. no mind no emotion :) they can not save us .. then you end on a very compassionate empathetic note .. to know the suffering of others as our own .. i receive a lot from your poem .. it is profound and inspires me ...

Fear not, since our moods die with us, as well as our awareness of the flow of time. If it takes a trillion years for us to come back, we won't know it 'til we do; and so relative to the "I am", Consciousness is continuous. The “I am” only perceives itself as immortal, or it perceives nothing at all. We are our moods. God is immortal Consciousness.

When a cat looks into a mirror he doesn’t see himself; he sees another cat. Perhaps he interprets that image of himself as being a cat-god. We do the same thing when we look into the mirror of our minds. Not being cats we're fooled none-the-less, but it's a grand illusion.

Artful reflective symmetry: red hot to the right, cold blue to the left. Useful energy flows from red its source to blue its sink; useful work is done in-between (Thermodynamics). The origin of useful energy is an enigma. Your daughter was a true artist.

A rainbow, the color spectrum, has ultraviolet to the left and infrared to the right. I have no idea what Catholics have, or don’t have. Color is an electromagnetic wave length, or a photon of a given energy. Color is an energy signature. When we get into the quantum properties of photons we find that the Schrodinger’s cat is either dead or alive depending on our conscious point-of-view: wave-particle-duality. Consciousness has some kind of power to order fate on a quantum level.

L ,R, down and up, 432 Vs 440 harmonics, (frequency) appear interestingly different in water .

This just means that water has a resonance frequency. Every material has a resonance signature. Sound might affect the brain is someway. Music affects our moods.
