A Dream

A Dream

A Poem by cquig

Wrapped in each other’s embrace

So right and so real

Your lips upon mine

I could never forget the feel

Eyes of blue gaze so deep

I wish I could say you were mine to keep

Yet reality waits on the other side of that door

One turn of the knob and my dream hits the floor

So please keep on holding, onto all that is here

What I am feeling is all that is clear

And when I awaken, to find it was indeed a dream

I’ll try to stifle my heart-wrenching scream
