Rise and Fall

Rise and Fall

A Poem by Craig John Edwards
"

A poem to remember them all.

"
Rise and Fall
-

The darkness of the night.
The crack of the thunder.

Warriors dance in the mist.
Heroes lay in sunder.

A soldiers death.
The glorious end.

writing on the wall.
Their souls to ascend.

Playing with fire.
And they burn.

From the ashes they rise.
But never return.

Beating their drums.
They answered the call.

For the freedom.
They rise and they fall.

Sums up a soldiers death, remembering them and honoring them. I love the line "Warriors dance in the mist".
