Urge

Urge

A Poem by Chasity

Without you
There is pain inside
my heart breaks
in pieces for you
to put back
together again when
I see you soon
My urges are strong
to inflict pain
on myself.
Am I normal?
Can you help me?
So hard to resist
I want to manifest
my loneliness into
something real
Something I can see
Something I can watch
but can I do it?
I don't know
I want you to see
I need you with me
not with her
when you are gone
the pieces get smaller
and harder to fix
but I know you love me
I know I love you
So I'll give you a box
full of my heart
Will you put it together?
or let it remain...
Shattered

Many people find that it is easier to deal with physical pain than with emotional pain. Many people find that in inflicting physical pain on themselves, that they even maintain some form of control over the pain that they simply do not have over emotional pain. It seems insane to some, but ever so logical to others.

This sad tale, tells of that sadness well.
