brothers decide an empires fate

brothers decide an empires fate

A Poem by solitaryone

Two tigers circle
Brothers, set apart by fate
Armor gleams in dawns light
Swords flash with murderous intent
On one face, a mask of rage and murder
On the other, only sorrow and resignation can be found
They lunge
The crash of steel on steel fills the air
As they seek their brothers blood
The shadows of Childhood memories
Haunt both their eyes
One stumbles in loose scree
In that momentary weakness
The sword of the younger strikes the older
He raises his sword in Triumphant victory
With new strength born of desperation
The wounded brother strikes
The look of victory becomes a mask of death
On a severed head that rolls into the mist
