Sweet Silhouette

Sweet Silhouette

A Poem by Courtney Elizabeth

Sweet, sweet silhouette swing from the windowsill
With your name, written on her face.
You say "swing, don't let the window trap you in."
"Don't you want to see this place from a different view?"

They will cheer for you
As the wind comes tumbling through
and catches you off guard
and for a moment in time they'll see you shine
just like the stars up in the sky.

Now bitter....oh isn't that just sweet.
How you pushed me out the window
And now I'm living out my dreams

They said believe in yourself
Because you can't put your trust
in anyone else.
