Advaita

Advaita

A Poem by cretinlung

Transformed heart apart from the inside
Belted down through oblivion's wake.
Inside my eye rests the weight of eternity
while a demon perches on my shoulder to whisper...
What a wonderful world.

Willows part so vision pierces foggy sleep.
A bamboo rod called Love
A bloody thorn called Hate.
These opposites are actually the same spectrum
lashed together by what other tie that binds
but that wonderful world beckons
that I may be asleep from any fear.

This demon spreads his song through my ears:
"Spread your wings only to have them clipped.
Soar to the skies just to be a blip.
Master the winds only to lose your ship.
Steal the sky to watch the last sunset.
It's the inevitabilities that commit."
Whose to say he's wrong?

But I do know that karma calls all.
Breath is the one voice,
this not-two universe loves itself
and we should love it back.

This is great :)
Its the kind of poem that everyone can interpret for themselves.
Its hard to write something that everyone can see something in.
Well done !
