empty

empty

A Poem by cretinlung

My will’s as empty as

My bed’s been for this barren moon

Solace sought from cold comforting

It’s

As empty as

A solemn groom’s voice

As empty as

A memory’s choice

As empty as…

Vibrant waste blight

Hint of a distant night

Fill at the wayside

Curtains of roots entangle around

So Solace empty as

My gut’s want for this soft warm touch

Cloak of night and vine carpeting

It’s

As empty as

The light of the moon

As empty as

The scream of a loon

As empty as

The weight of a swoon

As empty as…

Vibrant waste blight

Hint of a distance night

Fill at the wayside

Curtains of roots so strangling loud.

My bed’s as empty as

My broken husk’s bitter embrace

Star-lit night as I live, thirsting

It’s

As empty as

A broken man’s crutch

As empty as

A dead hand’s last clutch

As empty as

A brittle bone’s crunch

As empty as…
