Courage and Catastrophe

Courage and Catastrophe

A Poem by A.Crews

Courage and Cotastrophe

Misery can defeat you in your sleep,

so don't let your gaurd down,

because there are blood hounds,

there are beasts with claws and teeth.

There are leapards in the trees

and snakes beneath the leaves.

Machines stink, its a modern age.

We are mice in a rat race,

feeble and weak.

Have pity on me,

I've accepted what I am.

Courage and catastrophe both get the best of me.

Courage has a way of killing you,

and catastrophe is a sure thing.

This also seems to be about human nature, and how we seem to have a habit of destroying ourselves. I love it.
