Cancel Code Blue (no more flatlining)

Cancel Code Blue (no more flatlining)

A Poem by Crystalbluepersuasion

It's 1:53 am here in the hospital.

Code Blue's announced three times.

Someone's fighting for their life just down the hall

It's 6:28 pm here on my front porch.

Cruiser arrives a few doors down.

Someone's fighting for their love just down the street

Around the way, around the corner...it's a beautiful life.

But just down the hall, it's a boxing ring,
a struggle to hold on to life.

A few houses away, they fight and yell.
She cries, he drinks.

Let tonight be the night their love is won.
Let now be the time the lines rise, not go flat.

Let's get life back,
let's get love back.

the inspiration lines of this as one read into the verse...speaks much to the reader...as one story unfolds another starts to brew...and the end sums it up:

Let's get life back,
let's get love back.
