Hateful

Hateful

A Poem by Emma Cathryn

I hate my forehead.
I hate my nose.
I hate my cheek bones,
eyes,
eyebrows.
I hate my jawline,
my ears,
and my shoulders.

I hate my collar bones,
shoulder blades,
spine,
hips.
I hate my arms,
the fat they carry with them,
pudgy fingers.

I hate my thighs,
my knees,
and my calves,
my ankles
and toes.

I can't stand my laugh
or my smile
or the way my face crinkles.

And every day,
I wonder how
you can find a way
to love me anyways.
