Gums in the Wind

Gums in the Wind

A Poem by Crimson_Woad

Gums in the Wind

Gums in the wind
Cracking and swaying
Perhaps a bit violent
But just saying

River under the bridge
Where the bed is the floor
Parts flow in and out
Like an imaginary door

A country is a illusion
Borders imaginary lines
When there was no "land"
Just more better times

See this way
Walking passed the streetlights
Not a place I want to be
On a cold winter's night

Old blues playing loneliness
Ballads playing in time
Saying everything will be alright
Everything will be fine

The end is close
Just not near
Passing the finish line
Shedding tears

We could just get along
Go through together
Stop fighting over dirt
And complain about the weather

Don't see the colours
Nor the shades black or white
Humans should join together
And show our might
