A Poem by crownedsoul
"

When the angel fell, everything fell along side her.

"
when she fell

her skin was like
sunlight; golden and
warm. her touch was
like wind; faint and
hard to hold onto.
her voice was like
stone; hard and
unforgiving.

her eyes were
like ice; cold
and meltible. her
love was like
wildfire; spreading
faster than she
could contain it.

when she fell,
the sun blinked
out.

when she fell,
the wind stopped
blowing.

when she fell,
the stone started
to crack.

when she fell,
the ice began
to melt.

when she fell,
the wildfires
stopped spreading.

when she fell,
it was like the
stars themselves
decided to fall
along side her.

Thank you!
I really like this.
I may be misinterpreting but,
It sounds like she fell in love.
It softened her.
It’s a beattiful piece.
Thank you for sharing your work.
Resa.

Who knows, you could be right. ;)
I love the simile use of analogy. "When she fell, the wildfires stopped spreading." Love it. I am in agreement to Relic, in the sense that this piece reflects the power of an angel. I would have maybe enjoyed an explanation of the impact her fall might have done intellectually, rather than in the literal sense. Very well though out ;)

There's nothing wrong with lower case lettering. Many use it. The poem reflects the power of an angel. The attributes that dissolve along with her make me wonder if we as people lose something when we are faced with certain failures in life. She can, therefore, be looked at as a metaphoric example in this poem even though the reason for her fall is not explained.

Well done.
