All Of This

All Of This

A Poem by CrystalBluePersuasion

Head in the pillow
I scream your name
Desperate grasp for mercy
In the deep corners of the night

I beg, I plead
I wonder if you still feel it
If you long for my scent
You always spoke to me
Of the taste of me
You couldn't get enough

Passion devoured us as we swam in it
Clung to each other with desperate hope
We were our one last hope

Riding the wave hard and fast
It took us to the edge
Living and laughing
We laughed til we cried

Dug into my mind
And I into yours
Shared our souls journeys
Our hearts desires
We wailed with our pain
We kissed in the rain

Shared the fears, the joys
The trials, the failures

In the alleys
In the trees
The ranch
The woods
Bar bathrooms
Climbed the ceilings and the walls
Anytime, any place

And this, all of this
Somehow wasn't enough
But she sure was
Never made sense
Still doesn't, never will

So in the night, the stillness of the night
I call and I cry
I writhe and I clamor
That this, all of this
Somehow wasn't enough
