When You're Gone, When We're Gone

When You're Gone, When We're Gone

A Poem by CrystalBluePersuasion

Just this morning, making myself a bite.
Thought of your laugh.
Had to stop for a cry.

Just the other day, driving on by.
Saw a funny sign.
Had to stop and sigh.

How do I tell myself you're gone?
And when will I know what really goes on...

When we're gone?

Maybe I don't want to see.

Lately I think I may be
Happier living in denial and wonder.
More content when left to ponder
What really goes on...

When we're gone.

Great job! You've managed both brevity and sorrow, it really conveys the sense of loss. I know I can identify with this.

Amazing. Very deep and thought-provoking. Not only does it condense the feeling of loss in a few lines, it also wonders about the pace of the world once the two people in question (or more) end their existence. Wonderful. Loved it! :)
