Little Me, Freed

Little Me, Freed

A Poem by CrystalBluePersuasion

it cuts so deep,
no words to explain

twisting from within,
driving my pain
like a sonic boom-
its power, intense and shocking
trap me, taint me,
scar me inside-
wounds invisible
to the naked eye
the agony hides
the real me at times

i'm here, deep inside
longing to get through
the dreck that hides

yes it hides the real me
thats deep inside

i'm playful, i'm giddy
i'm silly, i'm witty

the child in me, enslaved
waiting to be freed

she's trapped
underneath the heap

this heap of rubbish
that stifles her dreams

this burden, so heavy-
won't you help her break free?
