Confusion

A Poem by Crystal

Graduated with a degree
From a prestigious university
Yet here I am, so lost
No idea what I wanna be

Get a license, they said
Then find a good job
"You'll find happiness, eventually"
(And end up settling for less)

I want to be the best that I can be
But I can't afford, at least financially
And here lies the problem, you see
I could end up not reaching for my dreams

I honestly don't know what to do
Should I pursue what I want,
make my dreams come true?

Or should I continue the career path
That they've chosen for me?
Just to convince myself
That I'm important to society?

In total truth, I only want to be happy
Of course, be successful too.
So could you please lend a hand?
Any advice for this fool?
