Perspective

Perspective

A Poem by Dan James

Time to you isn’t time to me.

Is it perspective,

or could it be interpretation?

There’s a definite definition,

but is it possible to twist the words?

To think of something entirely different?

To know a hidden truth that no one else knows,

yet risk the possibility of that truth being wrong?

But how can truth be wrong, if it’s truth?

There’s a definite definition to truth as well,

but I suppose that can be twisted just as well.

Perspective is a funny thing.

Perspective can make right, wrong,

and wrong, right.

You would think we would know what’s wrong,

but Perspective has us thinking.

You would think we would know what’s right,

but Perspective has us thinking.

What if there is no right or wrong.

Just Perspective.

What a scary world that would be;

it’s a shame we’re living in it.
