glistening in the dark

it waits, it lurks

brimming between insanity

molten disdain searches urgently

a victim it craves

more than life, it doesn't save

dragging them back screaming to its cave

to dismember and savor the hellish game

to satisfy what we will not name

as it licks up the fear from the skin

a salty divide does feel akin

to what would be best described as sin

it grins
