Black

Black

A Poem by Cylis Derrens

Black

I love black
I always have

Blue is nice but isn’t as grand
Red is interesting but is not me

Black is unpredictability
Black is mystery, and darkness
It is the infinite

Where light retreats, it is the darkness
Its color is always present

It is the color of both heroes and villains
Few other colors can describe so many things

It can be good or evil
Its meaning depends on one’s point of view

It can be fashionable
It can be morbid
It can cause fear, or encourage discovery
It’s the color of the unknown that we strive to see

I love the color for so many reasons
Most of all I love that it describes part of me

Love this poem for it's meaning. you know if you take all the colors in a crayon box and blended them together on paper you would have the color black. All inclusive is another trait of black. Bravo on your flow here it was a great read.
