Growth Rings

A Poem by Ben Taylor
"

Words to use: discovery zero observe tie knowledge

"
You are
a Buddhist presence,

a redwood in a suburb.

You were a discovery
I did not deserve,

a gift that I am
forever in debt for.

I have tied myself to you,
begging everyone I know
to observe,
and acknowledge

that you take zero s**t,
and are worth investing in.

First read of yours and I must say I did enjoy it. Quite easy to read as it flowed very well.
I really liked these simple lines...
You are
a Buddhist presence,

a redwood in a suburb.

Really easy to relate to.

Although my writing is very different from yours you might enjoy my newest poem Awaken.
