The Proposal

Yeah, so it started out one day and I knew you were my type. From that moment there on out you always had me feeling right. You picked me high up off of my feet, you’re my angel were in flight. To take this journey to the next level I’ll ask you one question on this special night. But not to jump to conclusion, I’ll remind you how much you mean to me and my life. I swear I’ll be loyal, worthy, and caring; will you be my lovely wedded wife?

Cute, I hope she says yes. Hard to review somebody's proposal. Your third sentence, I think you stuck the word "were" in there on accident in "angel in flight". Also, you may want to include references to experiences you shared with her that brought you closer. Maybe you are, and I just didn't pick up on it. It's hard to write love poetry that doesn't sound cliched to people outside the relationship.
