Exfoliate

Exfoliate

A Poem by Dana Ferguson

Hurt clogs my pores,
it's time to scrub away the pain.
I scratch and rub and clean,
these holes must open and breath.
Cleaning and rinsing the hurt away,
water runs down my face.
Years and years of damage,
I must exfoliate.

Thank you so much :)
I like the way you have written this, can imagine the lines being spoken in between scrubbing the pain, hurt and damage away. That pain, hurt and damage can take many forms, which makes it both personal to you and personal to the reader too. Thank you for sharing. I really enjoyed this piece.
