As if you've never thought about it before

As if you've never thought about it before

A Poem by danalyn

The wish to die without intent
But only through accident
To leave this world behind
Without the physical commitment

To pass through a slip and fall
Or a violent hit and run
To lay there bleeding, smiling
Having achieved what so many wished for

Rather than be found,
Those deliberate wrists laid bleeding
Drops of intent tearing up the tiled floor
For those who once loved me to discover

I wish for same ending, to walk along
The planes of the abyss of the life after
But I wish for death to become fate
Rather than purposeful destiny

So that I may find a cowardly way out
Of this life found so lonesome
To leave with a last shock into my still heart
The surprise leaving me utterly breathless
