She Knows Peace

She Knows Peace

A Poem by Dan Simpson

Delicate pleasures of a fragile heart.
A blank wall full of colour.
A fools criticism and an artists acceptance.
Her face, beautiful.
Her mind serene.
She knows not of what she seeks, but she seeks truth.
In herself, perhaps unkind, she sees a fissure of doubt.
She tries to climb but the stone is laden thick with uncertainty.
She will not commit.
Clear skies of desire, clouded by self doubt.
She knows what she wants, want bridled by what she knows.
A paradox in life out of existence.
She knows peace.
