Spider

Spider

A Poem by Danielle Calhoun

DEDICATED TO SPIDER

you wove your words
with style and grace
shared your happiness
your joys and pains
gave us a laugh
with your infamous
Friday Funnies
now we shall
Miss you always
as you weave your web
of tales to God
telling Him of us
As you both look down
from above
don’t mind the tears
as I write this poem
I know I barely knew you
I still think you
were one fine fellow
they called you Spider
I called you Gandalf
they called you Santa
I called you
one fine fellow
I now shall call you
Sky Weaver in the Clouds
for you will always
be among the Angels

Heaven is where you are now
