Au Revior

Au Revior

A Poem by Daniel DelMonacco

I thought you were nice
but clearly I was wrong.
You don't wear
your heart on your sleeve,
you stuff it in your thong.

Now I believe you
when you say
you're not a nice person.
You never make
things any better,
You only make them worsen.

You're painting your masterpeice,
it's begining to look artistic.
I wonder if when you pick up that brush
you're just as narcissistic.

This was never about me
I'm just a part of your ego.
You use me to make you feel complete
You're not a woman,
You're a mosquito.
