Twilight

Twilight

A Poem by dark and twisty

This monster I know

Insatiable save for the flesh

Lust and vengeance tainting its each breath

Coughing blood thick with bitterness

Oh, that acrid terrible smell!

Why, surely that must be hatred

The only thing pure in this detestable creature

Running smooth and dark right to its core

Everything is there – my heart, my soul, my essence

All stolen by this monster within me

During the quaint hour of twilight.

I am curious, is this supposed to be about the book "Twilight" by Stephenie Meyer? If not, well then, it could be. I am a big Twilight fan, and I really thought this fit Edward and his family.
You are a talented writer by the words that you chose and used to craft "Twilight".
Thank you for reviewing a piece of my work.

I assume the monster is one of the darker, baser emotions of the human mind.

Very good, i could create the little pictures in my mind, very discriptive and very well written.
